1. Add items or bring over your existing list from CSV or Excel – with a preview before anything is saved.
2. Keep using existing barcodes (EAN). For shelves and goods without a barcode you print QR labels.
3. Choose a mode and scan: receive, issue, count or look up. Every scan books instantly.

Several people, one stockroom

Invite staff with a QR code. They scan it with their phone and see stock and location right away, with a search. With the app on their own device they scan and book themselves – every booking carries their name. Changes reach you automatically or, if you prefer, only after your approval.

You decide what is shared (e.g. scanner and items without purchase prices), the role, a password and how long the invitation is valid. Up to 3 devices per invitation; for more people simply create another invitation. You can revoke access at any time.

Your data stays with you

The app runs in your browser on your device. No account, no cloud. Data is stored encrypted automatically, and you can add an app lock with your own password. Data only leaves your device when you share – and then end-to-end encrypted.

Activate and get started

• Activate once: The first time you open the app, enter your name and the activation number from your order email. This needs the internet once, briefly.
• 1 purchase = 1 main device. You invite staff and more devices by QR code. New device? Sign out the old one in Settings and activate the new one.
• About once a month the app briefly confirms your licence when you are online. Only the number is checked – your data stays on your device.

Requirements

A current browser on a computer, iPhone, iPad or Android device. For camera scanning the browser must be allowed to use the camera. No scanner included. Excel is optional.

On a phone or tablet? Open app.propraxisplan.de/inventory/ and tap “Add to Home Screen”. Then activate it with the activation number from your order email.

Frequently asked questions

Do I need a barcode scanner?
No. A phone, tablet or laptop camera is enough. A USB or Bluetooth scanner is faster if you scan a lot.

Can I scan barcodes straight into Excel?
You scan and book in the app. Stock levels, the reorder list and the log update right away – no formulas or macros to maintain. You also get the Excel file with an overview and charts.

Does it work for stocktaking in a restaurant or a trade business?
Yes, for any small stockroom: drinks and food, spare parts, materials or supplies. For goods with a best-before date the app reminds you before they expire. Stocktaking means: scan, type the counted quantity, and the difference is corrected and logged.

How is this different from an inventory spreadsheet template?
In a spreadsheet you type every movement yourself. With Inventory Scanner every scan books instantly, the reorder list calculates itself and every booking is logged with the person. You still get the Excel file with an overview.

Can I bring over my item list?
Yes, from CSV or Excel. You see what will be imported first.

Can several staff members scan?
Yes, by QR code with their own role. Every booking carries the person's name.

Where is my data?
Encrypted in your browser on your device. Save a backup from the app regularly.

Where do I find the activation number?
In your order email, under the activation number. Enter it together with your name the first time you open the app – it is your personal key.

Do I need the internet?
Only briefly: once to activate, about once a month for the licence check, and for sharing with your team. Everything else works offline.

What if I change my computer or phone?
Save a backup in the app, sign out the old device in Settings and activate the new one with the same number. Then load the backup – everything is back.

Can I use the app in my business?
Yes. The licence covers you and your own business, and you add your team by QR code. Only sharing with others and reselling are not allowed.

Are there any extra costs?
No. Buy once, no subscription. Free updates, your data carries over.
