What the app does for you
- Add in seconds: amount, category, done – gross or net, with tax worked out to the cent.
- Receipts right on the entry: attach a receipt photo or PDF right away. Add many receipts at once and match them to existing entries.
- Recurring expenses such as rent, software or insurance are added automatically.
- Import your bank statement: CSV, Excel, CAMT.053, MT940 or PDF statements from your online banking. You check everything in a preview and decide what is added. Duplicates are spotted, and the app learns your categories.
- Profit and loss by month, quarter and year – step by step from revenue to profit, with comparison to the previous period, margin and gross profit.
- Budgets, goals and warnings: profit goal, budget per category and alerts, e.g. when a category is over budget or a receipt is missing.

- Open the app file and activate it once with your name and activation number. Three details, then the app does the maths for you.

Your data stays with you
No account, no cloud, no bank connection. The bank statement is only read on your device. Your data stays on your device – back it up regularly with the backup function in the app.

Activate and get started
- Unzip first: after downloading, extract the ZIP file (right-click → “Extract All”, or double-click on a Mac). Only then open the app file.
- Activate once: on first start, enter your name and your activation number from your order email. This needs a short internet connection once – after that the app works without internet.
- Runs on computer, iPhone, iPad and Android: on a computer, open the app file in your browser. On a phone or tablet, open your app link from the guide and add it to your home screen.
- 1 purchase = 1 main device. Further devices are added via Secure Sharing. New device? Sign out the old one in the settings and activate the new one.

Frequently asked questions
Does the app replace my bookkeeping or my accountant?
No. The Profit and Loss Tracker is a calculation aid: it shows your income, expenses, profit and VAT and prepares the year summary for your accountant. Which rules apply to you is something to check with your accountant.
Does the app need access to my bank account?
No. You download a transaction file in your online banking (CSV, Excel, CAMT.053, MT940 or PDF) and open it in the app. Nothing is imported until you confirm it.
I am a small business without VAT – does it fit?
Yes. You can switch VAT off (small business option) and keep an eye on the small business threshold.
Can I import my existing list?
Yes, income and expenses as CSV or Excel.
Can I create invoices with the app?
No. Our Invoice Studio does that.
What if I change my computer or phone?
Save a backup on the old device and choose “Sign out this device” in the settings. Then activate the new device with the same number and open the backup.
Where do I find the activation number?
In your order email under “activation number”.
Do I need Excel?
Not for the app, it runs in the browser. You open the Excel files with Microsoft Excel, LibreOffice or Google Sheets (charts may look slightly different).
Are there extra costs?
